More than 500.000 copies sold, success all around the worl - hearing that you most probably think of a classical music production or even Gregorian Chant.

But the monks of Heiligenkreuz Abbey made it happen, what only few thought was possible:

Double platinum in Austria, in the top 10 of UK and US LP-billboard charts, and among the best sold CDs of Universal Music in 2008.

Tonzauber was part of the team from the very beginning, for the first recordings taking place in April 2008 we were responsible for the the recording equipment and took care of the team around famous Decca engineer Neil Hutchinson, who was responsible for the recording.

For the 2nd CD, which was recorded in September as a result of the great success, Georg Burdicek, Hermine Sterringa and the Tonzauber team were responsible for recording and editing of the christmas CD.

Austria's leading magazine for media and broadcast, MediaBiz , published an article about the 2nd cd's making of: Mönchsgesang im Morgenrot (pdf) (german only).
